Task 12.2

Some time ago a regional TV channel released an announcement about the available jobs they offer. It was seen as a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity by a lot of people. It is indicated by the fact that the contest for each job was really big and announcer’s job drew by far the largest amount of attention. The channel staff also showed their appreciation of their viewers’ opinions: not only were final stages of job contest aired on TV but the viewers could also vote for the contestants they liked the most. To make the final decisions, a lot of factors were taken into account: appearance, speaking skills, confidence and so on. The most-wanted job, an announcer, went to 20 year old Jennifer who was dreaming of working in the media sphere.

Several months after working as an announcer, she was asked if she was enjoying her job. Jennifer said: “If I knew how hard it is in reality, I would think twice before applying, but I like my job. My show is broadcast weekly and it’s a great experience even though my schedule is very tight now”.

A nice story, but you still have some time to improve it. Check grammar one more time (esp. sequence of tenses)! Read the instructions for on-line notebooks!

Change the tittle of your notebook. Find 3 missing articles (colour them red). The verb "broadcast" is irregular. I will check again at 9 p.m.
